The JOYO JF14 “American Sound” is an amp-style guitar pedal designed to reproduce the distinctive character of a Fender ’57 Deluxe-style amplifier, covering a broad range from clean and responsive tones through to driven, saturated sounds.

With dedicated LOW, MID, HIGH, VOICE, DRIVE and LEVEL controls, the American Sound provides extensive tonal shaping in a compact pedal format. The VOICE control works together with DRIVE to alter the frequency response and distortion character, allowing the pedal to cover a wide range of American-style amplifier-inspired tones.

Housed in a durable aluminium alloy casing with a stoving varnish finish, the JF14 combines classic amp-inspired tones with a compact, pedalboard-friendly design.

The American Sound is designed around the tonal character of a classic Fender ’57 Deluxe, offering the familiar response and character associated with American-style valve amplifier tones.

Its gain range covers a broad spectrum, from relatively clean and open sounds through to increasingly driven tones, making it suitable for players looking for amp-style character from a compact effects pedal.

Flexible Tonal Shaping

The JF14 features a comprehensive set of controls for shaping its overall response:

• LOW - adjusts the low-frequency response
• MID - shapes the midrange character
• HIGH - adjusts the high-frequency response
• VOICE - alters the frequency response and distortion character
• DRIVE - controls the amount of gain and saturation
• LEVEL - adjusts the final output volume

The combination of VOICE and DRIVE allows the pedal to move through different amplifier-style tonal characteristics while the 3-band EQ provides additional control over the overall frequency balance.

Amp-Style Gain Range

Rather than being limited to a single distortion character, the American Sound is designed to cover a broad range of amplifier-inspired tones.

Lower DRIVE settings can provide cleaner, more open character, while increasing the DRIVE introduces progressively more gain and saturation for driven sounds.

Durable Aluminium Alloy Enclosure

The JF14 features an aluminium alloy casing with a stoving varnish finish, providing a compact and durable housing suitable for regular use.

Power Options

The American Sound can be powered using either:

• 6F22 9V battery
• DC 9V power adapter

When a DC power adapter is connected, the battery supply is automatically disconnected.
