The JOYO JF23 “Argos Overdrive” combines six classic overdrive tones in a single pedal, giving guitarists a broad range of natural and flexible drive sounds in a compact enclosure. Its unique ATTACK control selects between six carefully developed overdrive voicings, making the JF23 equally useful for classic drive tones, tone shaping, and high-gain setups.

The JF23 also features a built-in adjustable Noise Gate, designed to attenuate signals below the selected threshold. The dedicated GATE control helps reduce unwanted hum and background noise while retaining the character and detail of the guitar's tone.

With GAIN, LEVEL, TONE, ATTACK and GATE controls, the Argos Overdrive provides extensive tonal flexibility while maintaining a straightforward pedal layout.

Six Overdrive Tones

The ATTACK control doubles as the JF23's six-position overdrive tone selector. JOYO developed the pedal around a selection of classic overdrive characteristics, combining six different tonal options into a single unit.

This gives the Argos Overdrive a broad tonal range suitable for everything from natural low-gain drive and boosting to more aggressive high-gain tone shaping.

Adjustable Noise Gate

A key feature of the JF23 is its built-in Noise Gate circuit. The dedicated GATE control attenuates signals that fall below the selected threshold, helping reduce unwanted hum and background noise.

The adjustable gate is particularly useful when working with higher-gain tones, while allowing the player to retain the nuances of the original guitar signal.

Overdrive & Booster Function

Beyond its range of overdrive tones, the Argos Overdrive can also be used as a booster, making it useful for shaping and enhancing existing high-gain tones.

The combination of ATTACK, GAIN, TONE and LEVEL controls provides flexibility for tailoring the pedal's response to different amplification and playing setups.

Straightforward Control Layout

The JF23 keeps its controls clearly arranged for easy access:
